Fruit Of The Loom Poplin Long Sleeve Shirt

By Sami Brown

Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner, so it is time to invest in a few key pieces for the up and coming season. The warmer weather and longer days require for a much needed break from all those layers of chunky winter woollens. Now is the time to go shopping for those fresher, lighter layers you have wanted to wear for so long.

This year, the men's designer fashion trends are vast and diverse so there is something for everyone, no matter what your taste in style. Whether you are more of a casual guy or a smart and dapper dude, the summer has a range of styles that will fit into your wardrobe. Here are a few looks that will allow you to look fashionable all the way through the sunny season.

1. Trousers - Sophistication is in and smart should be the style of choice when it comes to leg attire. For those extra warm days choose smart shorts paired with a light t shirt or top for an on trend appearance.
2. Shoes - Every fashionable guy needs to have some good footwear to take them through the season and this time round it is the brogue shoe turn. Last season they were a big hit and have carried on their reign and are still going strong.
3. As far as jackets and coats go, it is time to lose the layers and enjoy the warmth. For cool nights and breezy days opt for a light cardigan in a dark blue or navy, which will add a touch of sophistication.
4. Accessorise with a sports inspired bag. Sports luxe is right on trend this season and a gym hold-all is the perfect style to choose.
5. Printed t-shirts and tops are the way to go. Choose bold graphics, images and prints for a stand out appearance. You could even make a statement with an eye-catching logo emblazoned on your torso.

So hopefully you will now know what men's designer fashion to wear and what to leave in the back of the wardrobe. This summer is set to be a hot one, so get set to sizzle and freshen up your look for the sunny months we have ahead. Choose your pieces wisely and they will last all the way through the season and maybe into the next. Look fashionable, hot and stylish for Spring/Summer 2012.

A Guide to Buying Dress Shirts for Men!

By Alok Nandan Jha

Men have a distinct love for fashion. They don't make a fuss about it but silently are conscious about their style statements and the kind of clothing they look for themselves. Shirts for men are the most loved and desired garb. They take a lot of time in deciding on the style, pattern, fit, color and brand of the shirt. Same happens with them when they buy t-shirts, pants, trousers, shorts or any other garment. There are many places from where a guy can buy shirts for himself.

1. Online Stores - there are a lot of online stores that are offering fresh collections, to buy shirts for men online. Most of the online shopping stores have got into collaboration with renowned brands and are now showcasing their products on the online portals. You will find many well-known labels and their clothes, shoes, and things that they manufacture. Like you'll find Reebok t-shirts, Polo t-shirts, sports shoes, sandals, slippers and other things that men require. Shopping online is convenient for those men who don't get time out from their busy schedule. It's simple for those office goers who can order sitting online and get the delivery of their product right at their office's doorstep. With the increase in competition, many of the online shopping stores have started to deliver the order free of cost. Also, they have started to accept cash on delivery and initiated 30-day return policy to make their buyers comfortable in buying. However, when you buy online you get confused about your size, so therefore these websites have installed size conversion chart to make it possible for you to pick the correct size for yourself. You can also use the filters to narrow down your search and get what you like in a few clicks.

2. Physical Stores - if you are not comfortable with online shopping, then you can choose to shop from the physical stores like everybody does. It's true that buying from a physical store helps you buy that perfect thing as your use all your senses to buy that you want too. You can feel the cloth and get to know about the fabric, you can try and check the fit, you can bargain and you can also smell the product to confirm that it's fresh. However, in case if you don't like a product at one place you need to drive down another market. For instance you want to buy t-shirt and what you find at the physical store is a Reebok t-shirt while you want to buy a polo t-shirt, so in this case you need to drive to another market to buy a specific t-shirt. Thus, this will take a lot of time and will waste a lot of fuel as well.

3. Custom Shirts - are more on the expensive side. Shirts for men that are customized by a designer would cost you a little more than the normal shirt from a relatively known label. They are available both online and at the physical stores.
Before writing blogs he was a fashion assistant with a well known designer. He took a step out to impart his knowledge in fashion and shirts for men that are being followed by the people.

Top 3 T-Shirts for Screen-Printing

By Richard H Mather

1. Fruit of the Loom Heavy Cotton T-Shirt
Fruit of the Loom offers a wide range of promotional T-shirts for screen-printing but their Heavy Cotton T continues to be the most popular in the UK offering quality and value backed by a recognisable brand. Produced specifically for decoration with a fine knit gauge and open end yarn this shirt can handle repeat washes and intricate screen-prints.

Fruit of the Loom are the only imprint brand to use Belcoro licenced yarn for their fabrics, yarns that are produced on specialist spinning machines which have been installed at their manufacturing plant in Morocco. This attention to quality fabric means the Heavy T offers a more stable and tight printing area with fewer loose fibres and a 'soft hand' feel. Fruit of the Loom are one of the world's largest vertically integrated manufacturer (meaning they control all aspects of production from cotton field to finished garment), producing around 1.9 million T-shirts each week from their Moroccan based facility alone. The company abides by their 'Fruit Code' - a code of conduct that outlines Fruit of the Loom's commitment to producing garments in an ethical and environmentally friendly way. The Fruit of the Loom Heavy Cotton T is Oeko-Tex approved and is available in 8 colours and sizes from small to 3XL.
2. Gildan Heavy Cotton T-Shirt
Gildan is currently the largest leisurewear brand in the screen-print market in the U.S. and Canada. Their heavy cotton T is made from 100% pre-shrunk jersey cotton (apart from the sport and ash grey options which contain small amounts of polyester for more durability). 100% USA cotton is used, cotton that has been grown and harvested ethically under USDA and USEPA regulations.
Other applaudable initiatives include Gildan's innovative BIOTOP wastewater system which uses gravity, sunlight and micro-organisms to virtually eradicate the dyes and chemicals from the water. Gildan were also the first global manufacturer of basic apparel to be accredited by the Fair Labour Association for their labour compliance programme and employ 30000 people worldwide and their large scale highly efficient facilities in Central America and the Caribbean Basin is soon to be complemented by a manufacturing hub in Bangladesh to support growth in Europe and Asia. The Gildan Heavy Cotton T is available in a huge choice of 35 colours and sizes small to 3XL and when screen-printed gives quality results every time.

3. Starworld Hefty T-Shirt
Starworld's heavy cotton T-shirt is made from 100% ring-spun Egyptian cotton. Ring-spun cotton is produced by continuously twisting the strands of yarn making the short hairs of cotton push out and giving a fine length of cotton fiber which is stronger and considerably softer to the touch. Although the hefty T has this softer 'hand' than its r

Starworld is also a vertically integrated supplier and its production facilities are monitored and certified by the Egyptian Minister of Manpower. The company is WRAP certified (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) which ensures that staff are properly trained and work in safe environments. The Starworld Hefty T-shirt is available in 21colours and sizes small to 3XL.
Fruit of the Loom T-shirts once again come out as the most in demand garment for T-shirt printing in our workshop, outselling the closest rivals by some way. This goes to show that the more prominent a brand is the more likely people are inclined to be attracted to it, safe in the knowledge that you 'know what you're getting' - even when very good alternatives are available.

Transitioning From Winter to Spring - Men's Fashion

By Tess Ferrton

When we think of fashion we often think of it in terms of the seasons they are appropriate. While a pair of flattering shorts is perfection for summer, it looks completely out of place in winter and reflects the wearer as out of touch, if not worse. Similarly, a big bulky winter coat is necessary for icy cold days, but as the warmer days of spring approach, it's just not as practical.

Colors
Dark hues and shades of black fit right in with the dark days of winter. Of course, most men's clothes tend to skew into darker territory since that seems to be what most designers envision men wanting. Of course, you can't just jump full in to spring colors right away. For a successful transition, mix in the super dark shades with some softer version like gray as a lighter version of black and primary blue as a softer take on navy. As spring comes into focus, you can start opting for the more pastel and vibrant hues of your favorite colors.

Textures
Sure corduroy is great for shielding out the cold, but it is not a great choice for transitioning to spring. Taking it down a notch to the staple favorite of jeans is always a good choice. For the big, wool sweaters, it's officially time to pack them away. Cotton long sleeve tees and lighter jackets are the way to go as the weather starts to warm.

Shoes

Sandals have no place in the transitional wardrobe unless that transition has summer somewhere in the title. Since it's winter to spring, store the winter boots and dig out the trusty tennis shoes. If rain is a culprit in your neighborhood, then water-repellent shoes and wellington boots are doable, but full on snow boots can stay at home.

When it comes to men's clothing the transitions between seasons isn't really that bad. It's just a matter of shifting color palettes and the heftiness of some garments. Other than that, pants will always be the bottom half and shirts will always be the top half. Pretty simple.
Tess Ferrton is a fashion lover and personal shopper with a flair for finding the perfect jeans.

Simple Tips to Removing Red Wine From a Mens Shirt

                                                        Firetrap Reverie Men's Shirt
Simple Tips to Removing Red Wine From a Mens Shirt

By Tony X Jones
A mens shirt is the most complicated piece of clothing. They're usually stiff and hard to tuck in. A lot of men hate wearing a nice dress shirt because they're not sure of how to wear it and take care of it. If a man is not comfortable dressing up, then he will have trouble with his shirt! The worse thing that could happen is that he gets red wine on it. What a pain would that be! Luckily, there are some ways to get red wine off of a shirt. Please keep this article on hand. You may need it the next time you're at a party.

The major factor in getting red wine off is to remove it quickly. The quicker you react, the easier it is to get off. If you wait hours later, the stain will end up setting in. In time, your shirt will be ruined.

First, you should blot your mens shirt with a damp cloth. Only use warm water. This will help remove the excess wine and stop the stain from spreading. Please don't rub! This will cause the wine stain to spread and the fabric to weaken.

Now you have a few options in how to remove the stain. If there's white wine around, pour white wine on the stain. White wine helps dilute the red wine so it's easier to wash out. If there isn't any white wine, then use club soda. You can wet the cloth with both the white wine and club soda, and dampen the stain area until it disappears.

One more method you can try at home is to mix a small amount of laundry detergent with hydrogen peroxide. Just blot the stain and wash the mens shirt as normal.
When using liquids on the red wine stain, be sure to put something behind your stain. This way, the stain won't bleed through to the other side. Also, use some talcum powder or starch to sprinkle onto your stain. Powder helps absorb stains.

Here's one more important tip. Don't iron the mens shirt unless you're completely sure that the stain is gone. Ironing will cause the stain to set in and become permanent.

With some quick thinking, you can easily get red wine stains off a mens shirt. Now you don't have to embarrass yourself the next time you're at a party. You'll easily know what to do. Plus, your quick thinking will impress all the women in the room. Everyone loves a man who has a sharp mind. After all, you don't want to walk around with a stain all night! It's best to remove the stain before it really sets in. You should never have to wait to get a stain out. You will end up having to throw your shirt out.

3 Leaders Who Follow the Signs-

Fruit of the Loom Kids / Childrens Plain T Shirt, T-shirt, Tee Shirt

3 Leaders Who Follow the Signs
By Rebel Brown

Market leaders follow the signs.
Leaders are always on the alert for Signs of shifting markets. When they sense a subtle shift in their audiences or their own value, they respond and keep moving forward. When there's a sign of a major shift, they throw their status quo beliefs to the wind, focus forward-and adapt. Many point to Apple and Google and Amazon as innovators who follow the signs. But there are so many more great companies out there. Here are three of my favorite leaders who follow the Signs. These companies trust their intuition, signs and the facts, evolving to intercept opportunities for growth!

NU SKIN:
NuSkin is growing in a bad economy. Why? Nu Skin ignored traditional higher-end skin care market approaches. They saw an emerging market niche and pounced on it, focusing heavily on product innovation to create momentum. Baby Boomer women were flocking to plastic surgery. We all want to stay young and vibrant, yet many women can't afford the $10,000 or more to maintain a youthful appearance. Today's economy makes surgery even less affordable. Nu Skin has the answer. It's unlike any other skin care option in the market. Introduced in 2008, their Galvanic Spa and ageLOC product systems are an affordable alternative to a facelift. And they work. For under $100/month we can get rid of the lines and sag and wrinkles that age us. All in the privacy of our own home. No pain, no downtime, no recovery. How's that for following the Signs?

Fruit of the Loom hit the wall prior to its acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway. Now, Fruit of the Loom is accomplishing a tough transition: they are evolving a company brand, changing the perception of a global marketplace and entering new markets - without dramatically changing their product fundamentals. That's following your intuition! They saw the signs of the underwear shift - create primarily by Victoria's Secret and designer brands. Yet there's a huge market of folks who don't want to pay designer prices for, well, underwear. Fruit of the Loom followed those Signs.
  • They expanded their offerings for men's underwear by simply adding colors and new styles.
  • They broke into the women's market, specifically, the Victoria's Secret market - by adding comfie yet sexy and colorful designs for active women.
  • They also brought comfortable and sexy underwear to full-figured gals who want to have fun too! Talk about an under-served market. And they grabbed at it.
  • They expanded to include fun kids designs and colors.
Fruit of the Loom saw the signs. There are many of us don't want to pay expensive prices and/or who don't look great in the Vicky's Secret world of underwear models. Today, they are capturing new markets thanks to Victoria's Secret marketing dollars. Now that's a great way to follow the Signs!

SC Jonson:
SC Johnson understands the need to evolve with changing markets. Their Glade brand has evolved from sprays to Plugins to fancy Plugins and more. Recently SC Johnson saw a Sign. Those popular scented candles we all love were expensive. That meant there was a segment of the market that might not want to pay the higher prices. So Glade offered their signature scents in candles, available at a much lower price point than boutique candles. We can buy them at the grocery store, the pharmacy, and even some 7-Elevens. SC Johnson mapped the value of Glade-great scents at affordable prices-to a newly emerging market for candles. Then they segmented a portion of the growing candle audience to serve, and they served it well.

SC Johnson makes a practice of following the Signs across their brands. Ziplocs were a lot less expensive and easier to use than the bulky Tupperware containers, and we didn't have to wash them! We just tossed them away. So easy! Ziploc enhanced that product through the years: the bags became stronger and freezer ready, the closure mechanism was supercharged. Then global warming became a big consideration in our lives.

We all began to see the impact our plastic addiction had on planet Earth. Suddenly those bags didn't look so great anymore. SC Johnson responded, taking their market full circle-back to the days of Tupperware, but with a new face; light, flexible food-storage containers that we can use and reuse. Yet, they are so inexpensive we can send one home with our friends or to school with our kids. SC Johnson follows the changing Signs to evolve their products, and just look at their brand power!

These leaders prove it! Following the Signs isn't difficult.
It simply takes a commitment to pay attention - to our markets, our customers and most importantly - our own business intuition. Are you ready to follow the Signs?

Custom Made Shirts Provide Affordable and Unique Shirts

Custom Made Shirts Provide Affordable and Unique Shirts
Custom Made Shirts Provide Affordable and Unique Shirts
By Hayi Mansoor

Custom made shirts might have been out of reach of the average person as little as a few years ago but no more. Fabric, pattern, cuffs and sleeves are now available to even the most time pressured or budget conscious consumer. There is a reason the custom-made shirts were always in demand and bespoke elegance and affluence and it is that each part of the shirt was measured and designed for that individual. Now the average person can experience individuality, fit, and quality that custom made shirts afford.

One Size Fits All Does not Work
Even persons who fit the "average" build of mass produced designer shirts could rarely locate just the right shirt with just the right fit and all the details exactly so, and the prices are astronomical. Add in the fact that the shirt finally chosen was exactly like thousands of others, and the result was rarely individualized.

Custom Made Shirts Are an Affordable Answer to Elegance
Today there are other ways to achieve a unique look in a shirt besides settling for something you are not happy with or choosing a shirt based on a single quality. With custom-made shirts online, the choices in fabrics, designs, collars cuffs, and monograms have been brought into the realm of the regular consumer.

Select Your Unique Style in Custom-Made-Shirts
You no longer need to be a fashion designer or a tailor to achieve a unique look in a shirt. Online you now can choose fabric, colors and patterns to start your shirt. Choose how closely fitted you want it, choose double buttoned collars or a Cut-away collar, monograms, or French cuffs or single buttoned cuffs and more.
Get Tips for Fitting Your Custom Made Shirts to Fit You

Better yet, you will not have to know exactly what a particular type of collar is called or what a double button sleeve looks like, tips and hits and photos are provided with these choices. This allows almost anyone to select a shirt that not only suits their purpose such as a formal dress shirt, or a business shirt but also enhances their face or their body type.

Terms such as slim fitting or loose fitting may not have a precise meaning to you when you begin your unique creation however, this too is explained. Slim fit provides a more form-fitting shirt while loose fitting custom-made shirts will allow a lot more room to move around in and may be good for larger built men.

Fashion and purpose with an elegant look are no longer beyond the average consumer whose personal tastes or employment requires they look good. Success breeds success and the first step is to portray it. If you want a custom made shirt copied from an existing shirt you need only send the order with the shirt so an expert can measure it. There is no end of variations on custom-made shirts and the image they portray can carry from the formal dinner to a well-finished and elegant formal dress shirt. Women's desire for unique custom-made-shirts are just as pressing and beautifully made, high quality and unique shirts are now available for both sexes.

How To Buy A Quality Men's Shirt

How To Buy A Quality Men's Shirt
By Ben Stuart Greenwood

Baracuta J13109219/011 Men's Shirt

Many men make the mistake of buying clothes that don't fit them correctly, if in doubt, just ask, you won't look stupid. The majority of people need help finding clothes to fit them properly, especially when it comes to something like a shirt.

If you ask a professional in a shop, they will be able to measure you up there and then so you can find a shirt to fit you properly. As well as the fit, you'll need to consider the quality of the fabric, the cut, the colour or print and how stretchy the material is. Good quality shirts include those made by Carhartt clothing and also shirts from the Barbour clothing range.

Fabric
A quality shirt will usually be 100% cotton, but a small percentage of man-made fibres isn't necessarily a bad thing, these tend to give the shirt stretchability. As long as the majority of percentage is cotton, you are probably looking at a quality shirt that hasn't been made in a sweatshop. Anything more than 20% of man-made fibres is probably sign of cutting costs and cheap labour. You can often tell the quality of fabric by giving it a feel but if you are unsure of what to look out for, you can always check the inside label for fabric percentages.

Buttons
Check the buttons are securely fastened by giving them a little pull, if they seem loose and uneven, chances are the quality of stitching is low and they will fall off easily after a few wears. Plastic buttons tend to be used to cut costs, although some of the good quality shirts to use plastic buttons. Mother of pearl buttons tend to be used on more expensive shirts.

Matching pattern or print
The pattern or print on your shirt should be neatly aligned. In other words, if you are buying a striped shirt, the stripes should align from the shoulder straight through to the bottom of the arm. If they are mismatched this is a sign of bad, cheap quality.
Stitching

Spotting bad stitching is fairly easy, especially once you know the signs to look out for, the best way to do this is to compare a badly stitched garment next to a quality one. First you should look out for any loose ends or frayed edges, this is a sign of rushed stitching and bad craftsmanship. The stitching should be neat and clean with no loops. The stitching on the shoulders should be thicker for easy movement and high quality shirts tend to have more stitches per inch (usually around 15-20 stitches).

Collar
The collar should be smooth and shouldn't have any bubbles or wrinkles. If the collar is creased this is a sign of a cheaply made shirt.

The yoke
The yoke is the stitching on the back of the shirt to allow room for easy shoulder movement. Good quality shirts will usually have a split yoke - this is where the stitching is sewn vertically from the collar and then horizontally across the back forming two separate shoulder compartments to allow your shoulders to move easily freely without restricting movement.

Ringspun Black And White Ransfield Breton T Shirt

Product Details
Ringspun Randfield Striped T Shirt A really relaxed summer crew neck t shirt from Ringspun in a striped contrast design, perfect for summer days.

For many, the average men's shirt is simply a garment of utility - one that is worn by men across the world for reasons of function and not necessarily fashion. But this attitude belies the hundreds of years of trends in men's shirts. From the typical collarless shirts with billowing sleeves worn by classical painters to the modern formal button-down shirt, men's shirts have captured the imaginations of both designers and ordinary men for generations. In the twentieth century in particular, a range of different shirt styles have proved popular with men of all ages.
One of the most important developments in men's shirts over the last hundred years, for example, has been the invention of the polo shirt. The polo shirt, or 'tennis shirt', was created by legendary French tennis player Rene Lacoste in 1929 as an alternative to the stiff dress shirts and ties typical of tennis attire at the time. In the 1960s, Ralph Lauren propelled the polo shirt to new heights as a prominent item in his 'Polo' collection; and since this time the polo shirt has become so popular that it is now a standard category of clothing - although it has fallen out of favour with most tennis players.

The granddad shirt has also been a long lasting trend in men's shirts in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. These collarless shirts have been popular with men in warm countries for decades and have seen a variety of incarnations throughout the years. The Nehru Jacket, for instance, is a South Asian version of the modern granddad shirt that was popularised by the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the 1950s and early 1960s, and has since been prominently worn by a number of celebrities, from the likes of Sammy Davis Jr to Steven Segal. Today's granddad shirt preys on bright colours and an ethno-bohemian vibe that appeals to a variety of men's fashion trends - from festival clothing to smart casual summer wear.

The button-down shirt has also been one of the most influential men's shirts in fashion history - but memories of how it was created tend to be somewhat hazy. Some fashion experts claim that the button-down collar shirt was invented by an American shirt manufacturer who was inspired by an English polo match, in which players had their collars clipped down to avoid flapping in the wind. Others say that button-down shirts were created in New York, when their inventor (as yet anonymous) attached his collar to his shirt with buttons in a fit of annoyance at the oncoming wind.
But whatever the origin of the button-down shirt, its impact on the men's shirt industry has been historic, as button down shirts are now worn in both formal and casual contexts. Today, short-sleeved men's shirts are often worn with skinny jeans, large belts and tailored waistcoats for a fresh and informal look that still exudes smart chic. And with men's shirts available in a variety of colours - from grey to raspberry - and in a variety of floral and striped patterns, it's clear that evolving trends in men's fashion are far from over.
